SCHOOL SWIMMING PROGRAM
With the Australian lifestyle revolving around water, learning to swim is an invaluable life-skill. Swimming maximises every area of growth and development, both social and physical and improves hand-eye coordination, concentration, self-esteem and language skills.
Our pool, situated at Heidelberg Primary School, was built specifically for the school and is still operated as a strictly private pool, perfect for school swim programs. The private pool facility that we offer is a great benefit as there aren’t as many distractions to those found in larger swimming centres.
The 6 lane, 25m pool, is ideal for all ages and skill levels and has plenty of space for large groups. The warm water and air temperature makes for a comfortable and safe learning environment. We offer full change room facilities, including separate disabled change rooms.
The school swimming program which we offer is designed to improve the swimming and water skills of all our students. This improvement in skills leads to confidence, enjoyment and most importantly safety in and around water. Our school programs not only incorporate safety skills but develop sound swimming techniques that are beneficial for a fit and healthy life.
Our program is flexible to suit your needs. Our costing is based on teaching rates per hour however arrangements can be made for lessons shorter than 1 hour.
Our base rate is:
$75.00 per hour per teacher
45 minute lessons for Grade 4-6 students
30 minute lessons for Prep – Grade 3 students
Total cost of the school swimmingprogram is calculated according to the teacher student ratios which determines the number of teachers required for the program.
*Please also note that any Helpers or Parents wishing to attend our centre during a School Program need to have a valid Working with Children’s Check, which must be presented on entry to our swim centre.
